Objectives:

Map participatory research methods and different critical approaches regarding student and citizen involvement in university research;

-Design and carry out two participatory research processes to collect the advantages and the difficulties from experiments: 1) within a university, engaging the students (as future citizens); 2) based in a community, involving nonacademic partner(s); 

-A comprehensive analysis, practical toolkits and compilation of assessment criteria based on OB1 and OB2 built collectively by the participants;

– Trainings and workshops to share the methodological expertise, knowledge and experience of DRU participants;

– Evaluate the effects of the experiments using the assessment criteria from OB3 and build long-lasting connections with higher education management and policymakers through the recommendations and projects developed during DRU.
